2025 WBA Annual Meeting

Treasurers/Secretary Report

277 Total Members in 2024

In 1999 founded the club and filed for a INC. – planning on filing for non profit – need tax ID for paypal and we need a working EIN/Tax ID number to continue.
WBA INC. will have to change its name on paper..
Costs will happen
Motion to fix taxes: everyone agreed

Ray from kicking bear :  spoke and donated two cell cameras

Motion to stop doing Youth big fish for WBA and donate this money in the form of  plaques or trophies for the children for kicking bear – EVERYONE AGREED

2025 Youth Events
Late july/Early August – Luke G hosts in Winona – coordinate with Luke to help him with this. Bring your own children too.

Travis – Mohee event  – Located in poynette –  Field Trip for children in this area on wednesday & thursday – outdoor event – volunteer to help children shoot at a target – 9am to 3pm – May  15th and 16th this year

Illegal Dumping of Fish
Problem Areas (Mud Lake, Sinnissippi Area, Oconomowoc Area)
How To Report (Try to keep it off the page. Let admins post if need be)
Possible Ways To Prevent/Avoid Situations
Possible Fish Disposal Location at Ox-Bo Marine on Lake Sinnissippi

Discussion: Look into signage at these specific “problem areas” – Post on facebook about fish disposal areas.

PROPOSALS

Payout Changes – 

-> Boards proposal
Numbers: $50 to enter, Payout 1-3, separate pot
Big 20: $30 to enter, Payout 1-4th, Separate pot
Hobby: $10 to enter, Payout 1-3rd, Separate pot
Note: Big fish pot and fish disposal will remain the same and be pulled out of the pot in each division.

-> Jesse’s proposal:
Choose to Shoot both numbers and Big 20 but pay for both divisions
Possibility to win both if entered into both divisions
Can choose to shoot just numbers or Big 20
$30 for numbers and $30 for Big 20 or $60 for both
Big fish, wild, and fish disposal stay the same and pulled out of pot
Team of the year stays the same as numbers, Big 20, and hobby class

 Mississippi South  july 12th – Nate bray – everyone agreed

 Mississippi North – August 9th Josh K – everyone agreed
