January 2021 WBA Meeting
Minutes from the 2020 meeting were approved.
Treasurer report was read and approved.
New Business
A discussion about changing the membership price to $20 was had. A motion was made and Approved by vote.
A discussion was had about adding money to the state shoot again was had. A motion by Allan Brusky to add $1500 into each division payout at the state shoot. Was seconded and approved by vote.
Discussion about adding a wavier to membership/ tournament entry sheets to protect the club from injury and COVID issues was discussed and approved by unanimous agreement.
Raffles
The big bow raffle was discussed to bring back for 2021. A motion by John Huebl to raffle a Gnat bow with 250 tickets at $10 a ticket. Was seconded and approved by vote.
A discussion about the 50/50 tournament raffles was had with no change to them.
Donations
Discussion about donating the AMS big 20 was had. A motion by Jody Bigalke to donate 1 bow and 4 $100 gift certificates to F&D archery, Whaletails archery, AMS Bowfishing, and Cabela’s was seconded and approved by vote.
Discussion about donating to the Carpzilla tournament was had. A motion by John Huebl to donate 4 PFD inflatable Life Jackets was seconded and approved by vote.
A discussion about the website was had to make minor changes including finding the region rep map and adding it to the website.
There was no new legislative news to update.
No change was made to the tournament point system.
Big fish Challenge was discussed about bring back again for 2021. A motion was made by john Huebl was seconded and approved by vote as follows:
Big Fish Challenge pays $250 to the Biggest Carp (common, Grassy, Bighead, or Silver) shot in Wisconsin by a Member (Membership Must be paid before the fish is shot) between the dates of January 24, 2021 and the morning of August 8, 2021 (morning of the final tournament weigh in) following BAA weigh in system and scale
Tournaments were discussed with the calendar set as follows:
Mud and Chub April 24
Castle Rock/ Petenwell May 1
Green Bay May 22
Kicking bear kids shoot Goose island meeting was set for June 26
State Shoot Mississippi river 6,7,8 July 17 meeting in Trempealeau launch
Prairie Du Chein Mississippi river 9,10,11 August 7 meeting at Cabelas
Election were held with Jody Bigalke steeping down as VP and Erik Joost running unopposed.
Hunter Engelman replaced Erik Joost as region 6 rep.
